Started to unload the Christmas decorations from the attic at 8am Saturday morning and the support for the existing attic stairs broke. Started googling for repair people thinking that it would a week or 2 to get fixed. I had to rope the existing stairs closed as they would not stay closed by themselves. Reached Don by phone at 9 am and he said he would come by on Sunday and replace the existing attic stairs. He came by as promised between 8 and 9 am, then looked at the stairs took some measurements and went to get the new attic stairs. Done by 1 pm. My wife and I could not have been happier. He even spent extra time to make sure that the molding was perfect.
I've called Don on two occasions. He did a fantastic job when I desperately needed help with our attic ladder. This was on a day when he had already worked long hours. But he arrived as he said he would (despite the traffic) and fixed the broken piece on our attic ladder. The next time I called him for another job but when he came over he took a look and said he was not the right person for the job. I was amazed with his sincerity even with respect to that. He's a good man with an eye for detail and he is honest.
Nerves of Steel. Daredevil. Thats how I describe Don. He is never afraid of death or any challenge. We did amazing things in framing, beam install, concrete foundations, installing joists in an existing home etc. Anything. I highly recommend Don for any structural framing or carpentry work.
